Located on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan, the city is traversed by both the Chicago River and the Calumet River, which gives it a multitude of water attractions that are perfect in the summertime.
Chicago is also a very passionate sports town, supporting home team such as Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bulls, and the Chicago Bears. Chicago is also known for its rich history. In 1884, Chicago was home to the first skyscraper. It was also home to the start of the historic Route 66, and the Sears Tower, built in 1974 that is still the tallest building in North America. Chicago was also the birthplace countless inventions like the car radio and the TV remote control.
