More touches for Forte & Taylor

Matt Forte: the only player on the team to have both a 150-yard rushing game and a 150-yard receiving contest.
When the Bears return to action following their bye week, they intend to get running backs Matt Forte and Chester Taylor more involved in their offense. Matt Forte is the only player in Bears history to have a 150-yard rushing game and a 150-yard receiving contest in his career. This season Forte and Taylor have combined to average 29.3 touches in four wins and 16.7 touches in three losses. Forte has scored touchdowns on a 68-yard run and an 89-yard reception, while Taylor has gained 24, 12 and 12 yards on three of his last four rushes. Offensive coordinator Mike Martz said Wednesday that he plans on playing Forte and Taylor at the same time on occasion. Informed about Martz’s desire to put the two backs on the field together, Taylor said: “That’s always good. We want our best players on the field. I believe we can get the defense off guard with that.”
